Help Leia raise funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation to fulfill wishes of children living with critical illnesses

I am Leia Peh and I am nine years old.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I hope you will support me in my cause by making a donation.
I like to write interesting yet funny stories and at the same time, teach people good values and lessons in an interesting way. Chou Chou the Garbage Truck is the first book I published when I was 8. I wrote this book for my little brother and because I want people to know that every one of us is different and we all have a talent in something.
Through the sales of my book, I would like to raise money for Make A Wish foundation to help children who are living with critical illnesses because I think fulfilling their wish(es) will help to make a difference in their lives.
I believe that it is unfair for critically ill children to live the way that they are living and deserve to be treated like every one of us. I hope that the story I have written, Chou Chou the Garbage Truck, will help them to achieve their wishes that they have made. I also hope my story helps to teach people that we are unique.
In future, I hope to inspire more people to read my books, teach more people good values and raise money to help more people in need.

Book Synopsis
Chou Chou is a garbage truck who lives in Singapore. He envies other vehicles for their special talents and abilities. He also wants to be a hero for his country and play an important role. But will he be brave and help to stand up for his country when it comes to a situation that only he can solve? The story follows Chou Chou as he embarks on a journey to rediscover himself.
Author Biography
Leia is an 8 year old Singaporean girl who has an avid imagination and loves to illustrate. Based in Singapore, Chou Chou the Garbage Truck is the first book in a series of children’s books that she has originally written and illustrated for her brother. She hopes to share her stories and the Singapore culture with children around the world. Through her stories and artwork, she hopes to inspire and impart important values to younger children.
Make-A-Wish Foundation (S) Ltd
Make-A-Wish is a children’s charity organisation that grants the wishes of children living with critical illnesses. The organisation is part of the world’s largest wish granting organisation and the only wish granting organisation of its kind in Singapore. It was born from the transformational effects of a wish on the wider community, where our founders pledged to ‘share the power of a wish’. The Singapore affiliate started our amazing journey in March 2002.
We believe wishes provide children the strength to look past their situations and limitations, assist families in overcoming their anxieties and have the potential to galvanise entire communities in creating hope, strength and joy for the children as well as their loved ones. Most importantly, we believe that wishes can improve a child’s quality of life, giving them a better chance of recovery.
